Training offers for the 100km Run

Would you like to prepare optimally for the Biel Running days 2025? Then join our free preparation events! They are led by top-class coaches – we can’t wait to see you there! You can sign up for all sessions or just individual training programs.

Together, we will run a loop on the original route from Biel through Lyss to Büren and back to Biel. The training session will be led by Marco Jäggi and Jörg Hunziker.

Meeting point: 9:00 AM | Coop Center, Biel train station, in front of the main entrance

Distance: approx. 45 km
Route: Biel – Lyss – Büren a. A. – Biel (option to exit in Lyss)

Training Group 1: Pace 7:15 min/km
Training Group 2: Pace 6:15 min/km

Participant Limit: 15 people (per training group)

Note: There are no changing rooms available on site. Cars can be parked in the Tissot Arena parking garage.

Insurance: Participants are responsible for their own insurance.

The running seminar includes a jogging session with exciting informational breaks led by Matthias Klotz, providing insights about the Biel Running Days.

Distance: approx. 10 km

The running route partially follows the original course of the 100 km run. During several breaks, we will share valuable insights about the 100 km run – covering topics such as training and strategy, mental preparation, nutrition, gear tips, and running at night.

The pace will vary, but we will always wait for each other at the break points. The total duration, including breaks, is approximately 2.5 hours.

Note: There are no changing rooms available on site. Cars can be parked in the Tissot Arena parking garage.

Together, we will run a loop on the original route from Jegenstorf through Kirchberg to Lohn/Lüterkofen, Oberramsern, and back to Jegenstorf. The training session will be led by Marco Jäggi and Jörg Hunziker.

Meeting point: 9:00 AM | Schulhaus Gyrisberg (Red Square), Brüggackerstrasse 34e, 3303 Jegenstorf

Distance: approx. 45 km
Route: Jegenstorf – Kirchberg – Utzenstorf – Lohn/Lüterkofen – Bibern – Oberramsern – Etzelkofen – Jegenstorf (option to exit in Lohn/Lüterkofen)

Training Group 2: Pace 6:15 min/km

Participant Limit: 15 people (per training group)

Arrival: Ample parking is available on site. The meeting point is also about a 10-minute walk (or 700m) from Jegenstorf train station.
Restroom facilities:

Catering: No catering will be provided. Participants must organize their own provisions. In Lohn/Lüterkofen (km 23), we will make a brief stop (approx. 5 minutes) at the AGROLA Top Shop.

Insurance: Participants are responsible for their own insurance.

Together, we will bike the entire 100 km route. The total riding time for the entire route will be around 6 hours. Participants will be informed about key points and aid stations along the way. The route reconnaissance will be led by Jörg Hunziker.

Equipment: A (mountain or e-)bike with good tires and brakes is recommended, along with a helmet, gloves, and weather-appropriate (cycling) clothing.

Catering: Participants are responsible for their own provisions. One or two stops at restaurants along the route are planned (at each participant’s own expense).
